Summary:
Greet guest, seat guest, enter guest's information into open table reservations system, take To-Go orders, maintain menus and restaurant specials information and ensure quality of facilities and service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Greet Guest and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
Provide guests with menus.
Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of covers.
Speak with patrons to ensure satisfaction with food service, to respond to complaints, or to make conversation.
Answer calls and respond to inquiries or transfer calls.
Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that dinning details are handled properly and customers' concerns are addressed.
Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper set up.
Inform patrons of establishments specialties and features.
Receive and record patrons dinning reservations and preferences.
Communicate room charges to the front desk.
Direct patrons to resort facilities and waiting areas.
Take and prepare To-Go orders.
Operate cash register to accept payments for food and beverages.
Supervise and coordinate activities of dining room staff to ensure that patrons receive prompt and courteous service.
Assist with preparing and serving food and beverages.
Assist bussers if there is a need for tables to be cleared or set up to accommodate incoming reservations.
Communicate with restaurant manager any discrepancies in reservations.
Support safe work habits and contribute to a safe working environment at all times.
Follow directions, get along with co-workers and supervisors, treat co-workers, supervisors and guests with respect and courtesy, contributes to a positive and rewarding team environment and refrains from abusive, insubordinate and/or violent behavior.
Perform other related duties as requested by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Listed below are the qualifications that represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability to perform this job successfully:
Must provide prompt and cordial service to all guests.
Working knowledge of, or the ability to learn, point-of-sale computer systems.
Must be reliable, responsible and able to work well under pressure.
Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
Apply critical thinking to solve problems in standardized situations.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must be able to work independently.
Must meet legal age requirements for the position.
EDUCATION AND/OR
Experience:
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior resort and/or hospitality experience preferred.
High school diploma or equal to a GED.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
