We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as Home Health Aides.
As a member of our team, you will provide essential care and support to clients in a residential setting in a 1:
1 ratio.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support neurodivergent clients with diverse needs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living as well as go on brief outings in the community Vehicle provided.
- Some medical care required, please provide info on past medical experience.
- Assist with preparing meals / snacks - Provide companionship and communication support, as well as coping with behavioral needs in the face of high anxiety - Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up and laundry - Monitor patients' condition and report any changes to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional - Follow care plans and ensure the safety and well-being of patient - Maintain accurate medical documentation
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nursing care, in-school support, or home care settings is preferred - Familiarity with medication administration or diabetes is a plus - Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure - Compassionate and confident nature - Reliable transportation to and from work site - High school diploma or equivalent, strong english language skill Our initial training schedule will involve overlapping with experienced teammates, then transitioning into solo shifts.
Accommodation of existing schedule commitments will be considered, but we have a strong current need for weekend availability.
